The Fibonacci system is a negative progression online betting system. This means it involves increasing your bets following a losing wager. The theory is that it helps to win money, as you’re likely to have higher stakes on winning bets than you are on losing wagers. This principle also applies to all negative progression systems.

There are easy systems than the Fibonacci, but using them is not complicated. You only need to learn a few rules about how to adjust your stakes. You also need to be aware of the Fibonacci sequence, a well-known series of numbers with several uses.

Fibonacci Craps Betting Strategy – How It Works

The competence of the Fibonacci betting strategy depends on how long one’s losing streak is. If you lose recurrently, it would be hard to offset the loss. Also running out of money to play will be a problem. In case the player’s profit tops the losses, then they have to go back and start the Fibonacci sequence with the first unit again.

Using the Fibonacci Betting System

The Fibonacci system is used when placing even money bets in the casino. It is used by roulette players on the outside bets, such as odd or even or red or black. Craps players can use it on the pass or don’t pass bets. It can also be used playing baccarat or blackjack, or for even money bets in sports betting.

This system utilizes the Fibonacci sequence but also ignores the zero at the start. You should, therefore, try to memorize the sequence or have it written down somewhere.

Before you can put the system into practice you must decide on how much you are going to stake per unit. This can be any amount you want, but we recommend keeping it small relative to the total amount you have to gamble with.

You have to follow three rules regarding your staking:

Rule 1 – Begin with One Betting Unit

Your first bet in every cycle should be one single betting unit. This is because, disregarding the zero, one is the first number in the Fibonacci sequence.

Rule 2 – Begin with One Unit

Following a losing wager, you should then move to the next number in the sequence for calculating the required stake. So, after losing the first wager, you’d move to the second number one in the sequence. That’s how many betting units you stake for your second wager.

Rule 3 – Move Down the Sequence After Winning

After a winning wager, you should then move down TWO numbers in the sequence.

Does the Fibonacci System Work?

The Fibonacci system does nothing to advance your overall chances of winning in the casino. It can help you win real money in the short term, or even over a long period if you avoid a lengthy losing streak, but it is eventually flawed.

The issue with this system is the same as with any other negative progression. At some point, you will go on a long losing streak and the stakes will get very high.

Even though you go back two steps when you win and go up one when you lose. There is still a chance that the stakes will get high that you run out of money or hit the maximum bet allowed at the table.
